Change VMID from 100 to 302
Stop/Shutdown a VM.
-
- Login using SSH to Proxmox Machine or using Shell menu in Web Interface.
- Rename image directory name and image filename.

# cd /dev/pve
root@PROXMOX01:
/dev/pve
# ls
root swap vm-100-disk-1
root@PROXMOX01:
/dev/pve
# mv
vm-100-disk-1
vm-302-disk-1
root@PROXMOX01:
/dev/pve
# ls
vm-302-disk-1.qcow2
- Rename configuration filename
root@PROXMOX01:
/etc/pve/nodes/PROXMOX01
# cd /etc/pve/nodes/pve/qemu-server
root@PROXMOX01:
/etc/pve/nodes/pve/qemu-server/etc/pve/nodes/PROXMOX01/qemu-server
# ls
100.conf 102.conf 201.conf 902.conf
root@PROXMOX01:
/etc/pve/nodes/pve/qemu-server
# mv 100.conf 302.conf
root@PROXMOX01:
/etc/pve/nodes/pve/qemu-server #
- Edit configuration filename
root@PROXMOX01:
/etc/pve/nodes/PROXMOX01/qemu-server
# vi 302.conf
202.conf :
boot: cdn
bootdisk: ide0
cores: 1
